Dear Us_Still_Final Frame.jpg

Born in Los Angeles to a Black-Indigenous-Transgender father and a Bisexual-Jewish  mother,  Aryeh-Or has always lived of on the razor's edge of cross-cultural identity and experience. Aryeh's unique heritage and upbringing has allowed him to live through the lenses of multiple marginalized communities and draw strength and inspiration from their stories and struggles. Aryeh's work as an artist is hinged on his deep seated belief that we are all far more alike than the surface levels of separation lead far too many to believe.

"You see the truth is, no matter how poor or how priveliged, every person has experienced pain. No one gets through life without scars, but that's just a part of what makes us who we are. Every person has a story. And as we learn to find strength in vulnerability and share our journies and what makes us unique- we allow others to see themselves in us, and hopefully find the courage to speak, and share their story."

-Lyrics from "Let Chu Know" on Aryeh's upcoming LP

Beyond the art, Aryeh-Or finds deep purpose in being a hands-on agent for change and social justice. From building a school in Malawi to joining the front lines at Standing Rock and back to serving the ravaged streets of Skid Row in his own backyard, Aryeh-Or is always looking for outlets to harness his energy and influence to uplift, inspire and empower the world at large.
